Overview
Sterling One Technologies (“Sterling One”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the GetFleet mobile application, web platform and related services (the “Service”). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have.
By installing, accessing or using GetFleet, you acknowledge the practices described here.
The short version
- We don’t sell personal information. We also don’t share vehicle location with third parties for their own marketing or tracking.
- Location comes from your vehicles. GPS trackers installed in fleet vehicles provide it, not your personal phone.
- Your organization controls fleet data. If you use GetFleet through an employer, that organization is the primary data controller for fleet, driver and vehicle records.
- The app collects limited technical data. Device and diagnostic details are used to operate, secure and improve the software.
- You can ask for access, correction or deletion. Email . See sections 10 and 11.
1Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you and your organization use GetFleet. It falls into three groups.
Account information
When you create or use a GetFleet account, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Company or organization name
- Account credentials
- Account and subscription information
Vehicle and fleet information
GetFleet is built for fleet operations. Information associated with vehicles connected to a GetFleet account may include:
- Vehicle name or internal identifier
- Registration (Istimara) or plate number
- Tracker IMEI and hardware serial number
- Real-time GPS coordinates and heading
- Speed, acceleration and movement data
- Trip history, route playback and idle logs
- Geofence entry and exit events
- Ignition status (engine on or off)
- Device connectivity and signal strength
- Data from compatible trackers and CANbus
Where this data comes from. It is transmitted by certified GPS tracking devices installed in fleet vehicles and securely linked to the GetFleet platform.
Device and push notification information
When you use the mobile app, we collect limited technical information needed to operate, optimize and protect it:
- Device model and manufacturer
- Operating system and version
- App version and environment settings
- IP address and connection diagnostics
- Unique device identifiers
- Crash logs
Push notifications. If you allow notifications, GetFleet uses a device token (such as APNs or FCM) to deliver fleet alerts, geofence events and maintenance reminders. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
2Location information
GetFleet primarily uses location data received from GPS tracking devices installed in your vehicles. It powers:
- Real-time tracking and the live map
- Historical trips and route playback
- Route optimization and corridor monitoring
- Geofence arrival and departure detection
- Vehicle activity and idle-time monitoring
- Safety and security alerts
Your phone’s location. GetFleet does not need your phone or tablet location to show vehicles tracked by connected hardware. If a feature does need it, such as navigating to the nearest vehicle from where you are, the app asks for your permission first.

Vehicle telemetry and trip playback history are kept according to the service tier and settings your organization has chosen.
When data is no longer needed, or its retention period ends, it is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
7Data security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal and fleet data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, destruction or loss. These include encrypted network communication (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access to databases and continuous monitoring.
8Business and organization accounts
GetFleet is designed for businesses, transport contractors and logistics companies that manage commercial fleets.
If you use GetFleet through your employer or another organization, that organization is the primary data controller for the fleet assets, driver assignments and vehicle records linked to your credentials.
For questions about how your employer monitors, assigns or analyzes vehicle movement, contact your company’s fleet manager or account administrator.
9International data processing
GetFleet and its technology providers may process, transmit and store data in cloud facilities outside your home country.
Where data is transferred internationally, we apply appropriate contractual and technical safeguards so that telemetry and user details remain protected in line with applicable cross-border data protection standards.
10Your privacy rights
Depending on the privacy laws that apply to you, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate records
- Request deletion, where legally applicable
- Request restriction of certain processing
- Object to certain processing on legitimate grounds
- Ask how your data is handled
To exercise any of these rights, email . If your account is managed under an organization’s license, some requests, such as those about vehicle telemetry or driver assignments, may need to be handled through that organization.
11Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your GetFleet user profile and associated personal data by contacting our support team.
Some transaction logs, tax records or legal audit trails may be kept where the law requires it, to protect system integrity, or to prevent fraud.
If your account is linked to an employer’s corporate subscription, deletion of vehicle telemetry is governed by that organization’s administrative policies and agreements.
12Children’s privacy
GetFleet is an enterprise fleet management service and is not intended for or directed at children. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from anyone under 18 in violation of applicable law.

Significant changes will also be communicated through in-app alerts, portal notifications or email.
